Managing International Working Capital Flow: An Evaluation



Abstract: The working capital management is an indispensable ingredient of the total financial management of an enterprise that has a greater impact on profitability, liquidity and overall performance of the enterprise irrespective of its nature. Working capital management in international context involves managing cash balances, account receivable, inventory, and current liabilities when faced with political, foreign exchange, tax, and liquidity constraints. The study is an objective evaluation of the working capital management of multinational firms to examine the international cash management operations, approach of performing international sales, procedure for performing foreign exchange activities. It has been found that firms have shifted their concerns towards low cost and efficient methods related to international working capital management decisions. Moreover, companies should concentrate on the most promising actions that will not impair flexibility and performance.
